Withdrawing from 2021

March 7, 2021

Many fellow performers and fans of the arts will be waiting to hear about the plans for Edinburgh Fringe 2021. It is the highlight of our annual calendar and it was a shame, though understandable, in 2020 when the event was cancelled. Hopefully it shall go ahead in some form or another in 2021.

However unfortunately I have had to withdraw from my commitment of performing the whole month. My venue (PQAvenues) have been brilliant and I am sure I will be performing with them for the whole of August in 2022.

But for 2021, for various reasons as I face into the challenges of the 2020/21 lockdowns, the financial constraints that has brought about, the timing of updates, competing opportunities currently in development and the growing uncertainty about any distancing rules comes this summer I have had to withdraw.

Though perhaps this will allow me the space to enjoy the fringe purely as a festival goer and reignite my creative energies.

I may still do a few quest appearances, and perhaps investigate the opportunity to do a small 4 day run with some of my newest material, and if that happens I will update on my usual social media channels. But for now, I shall keep my eyes open for updates from the Fringe Society.
